That evening on the computer Quinn stared at her website. It had a free 14 day trial that gave her most of the features the company offered. The first page, called the landing page, described the website’s purpose. People then could choose to become a member for $5 per month or sign up for a year at $30, saving 50%.

Once a member, you would see the home feed, showing past posts of information. There were only two posts so far. One to say thank you for joining and explaining how to navigate the site. Hopefully, that would minimize any tech confusion. The other showed an event on the calendar.

She had created an event for the playoff game stating who was playing, where the game was taking place, and when it would start. It also allowed her to include a link. This link would be what each person would click to watch the game. If people missed it, they could go back to the event later and watch the replay by clicking the same spot. That’s where the video account came into play.

Building them as events also allowed members to RSVP and be notified when events they want to watch are about to start. By RSVPing, she’d get a feel for what events members were most interested in. Users could also see at a glance on the calendar what upcoming sports would be filmed, and when. She knew some of the benefits would only come into play if this first one was successful. But she liked the possibilities.
